Breast Cancer Research
Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support Help us welcome a cure for breast cancer. This year, thousands of women in North America will be diagnosed with breast cancer. While many women will die this year because of breast cancer, more and more women will survive because of research into breast cancer’s causes and improved treatments. Dulmes Decor Carpet One Floor & Home is proud to continue to support the search for a cure for breast cancer with the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support campaign, which kicks off in October. To date, Carpet One Floor & Home stores have raised more than $800,000 USD to support this wonderful cause in the United States and Canada! During the 2009/2010 campaign, Carpet One Floor & Home stores throughout North America will contribute 25% from the sales of specially-designed pink ribbon welcome mats towards breast cancer research and awareness. Funds raised in the United States will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® while funds raised in Canada will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Carpet One Floor & Home’s collection of welcome mats features the colors and themes for every season. Each October we have many new welcome mat designs, each emblazoned with a pink ribbon, the internationally recognized symbol for breast cancer awareness. Made of plush nylon, the welcome mats are water and stain resistant, machine-washable, and can be used both indoors and out. Visit your local Carpet One Floor & Home store to join us in welcoming a cure for breast cancer. |
Animal Welfare
Our pet-friendly Lees products led us to partner with animal welfare charities through the Muddiest Buddies campaigns. Most recently, we partnered with the Delta Society, a leading international resource on the human-animal bond. A core program is Pet Partners, in which over 10,000 volunteers are trained and registered so they can safely and effectively share the healing power of their pets with hospitalized patients, seniors in assisted living care centers, patients in hospice care, children learning to reading, and so much more. Other programs include the Service Dog Referral Center and the web-based Human-Animal Bond Resource Center. To learn more, visit www.deltasociety.org |
